Getting There
By Air
There are direct flights from Paris three times a week, as well as from Congo, Central African Republic and Ethiopia. Flights from Thailand via Bombay and flights from other West African countries are available at least once a week. The International Airport is at N’Djamena, 4.5 km northwest of the city. Taxis are available to the city.
By Road
You can drive into Chad from Nigeria, Cameroon or the Central African Republic. The roads are fairly good but can be dangerous during the rainy seasons. There have been reports of armed bandits operating around the border with Cameroon and it is best to make this crossing in the daytime.
By Train
There’s no rail system in Chad.
